HAS International Projects (HIP) is the main coordination point within HAS green academy for international projects. We have developed a nice project portfolio and this portfolio offers lecturers the opportunity to gain experience abroad. In addition, international cooperation boosts the development of knowledge and expertise and creates opportunities for students for internships and studies. We focus on Western regions, emerging economies and developing countries.
The Healthy nutrition and healthy living research group encapsulates our ambition to, through practical research - linked to training, courses and advisory programmes - make a significant contribution to the objective: ‘Live a long and healthy life'.
The Healthy food production research group contributes to the development of food systems that respect people, animals and the planet. We contribute to improving sustainability in modern agriculture and food chains, while simultaneously supporting the transition to new food systems.
The Healthy ecosystems research group aims to make a significant contribution to the following mission through practical research: to collaborate with partners and students to realise a biodiverse, climate-adaptive and valued rural and urban environment, which has a healthy and sustainably used ecosystem.

HAS green academy collaborates with international partner institutions on a number of initiatives, such as student exchange, staff mobility and teaching mobility. HAS green academy is a medium sized university of applied sciences. Students can easily find their way around at HAS, and the cities of Venlo and ‘s-Hertogenbosch. HAS is an informal organisation and students can easily approach lecturers and staff members. The institution has a very friendly and supportive learning environment.

As an international student you will need accommodation in the Netherlands during your studies at HAS. HAS green academy doesn’t have a campus with student rooms and the offer of student rooms in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Venlo is scarce.
Venlo is a global town on a provincial scale. It is set in a region full of energy, modern trade, excellent transport links and thriving industry along the Maas, just minutes from the German border. Vibrant Venlo is the cultural epicentre in the north of Limburg, the most southern province in the Netherlands.

HAS green academy offers various facilities for students as well as for companies.
HAS green academy is holding the first national ZERO Food Waste Challenge, in collaboration with Aeres University of Applied Sciences, Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Food Valley Circular, the Jong Leren Eten Foundation, the Food Waste Free United Foundation and the Rabobank. The challenge starts on 13 September.
