My name is Dirk Beerendonk, I have been working at HAS for two years now and I am a lecturer at International Food & Agribusiness (IFA).

Meet Esther van Lieshout, the study advisor for the International Food & Agribusiness (IFA) programme at HAS green academy. Esther has been part of HAS green academy for 16 years, building extensive experience in supporting students during their studies and helping them get the most out of their time at the academy.

Milouska Lensing is a well-known face at HAS green academy. As a senior lecturer, coach and Year 1 coordinator for the International Food & Agribusiness (IFA) programme, she has been dedicated to student wellbeing and development for over twenty years. With her warm personality, sharp insight and tireless commitment, she helps students grow: from the inside out. Get to know Milouska!

Video: Cultivation Project

In the second year of the Horticulture & Business Management degree, you work in a team on a cultivation project. You choose both a crop and a practical issue to tackle, such as fertilisation, irrigation, or plant health.

My name is Jil van der Hoeven, I am 22 years old and originally from Steenbergen. I’m currently in my second year studying Business Administration & Foodbusiness.

My name is Suzan. I’m originally from Waspik, but I’m currently living on Texel for a year. I’m studying Applied Biology and am now in my final year (year 4). I also work for HAS as a promotional student assistant.

My name is Jessica, I am 23 years old and from Maarheeze. I’m currently in my third year studying Food Innovation at HAS in Venlo.

Frans van Leijden Award

Under the leadership and direction of Frans van Leijden, HAS green academy in Venlo became a vibrant branch. As a tribute to him, following his death in 2020, we created the Frans van Leijden Award.
