As my travels commenced for the Nuffield Farming Scholarship, I am happy to say that the third sponsor of my journey is one that is close to me. It is one that carries an important responsibility for the future of our industry and one that supports future leaders in agriculture.
As I have studied International Food and Agribusiness at HAS green academy myself, I am proud to now represent this University of Applied Sciences around the globe.
During my Nuffield experience with many inspiring and eye-opening travels, I will be a proud ambassador and do the best of perhaps quite some attempts to put some vlogs out as part of sharing the knowledge and experience from this opportunity that is given to me.
Also after my travels I will present the highlights of my journey during pitches at school events and bridge between the HAS and the international industry.

And what does that approach look like according to Ivar van Dorst? Strip cropping, organic, plant-based, intercropping, Dutch herbal teas, short supply chains, and building communities. During his Nuffield journey, Ivar hopes to gain insights into how sustainable products can be marketed in an appealing way, with close involvement from consumers.
A Nuffield Farming Scholarship is one of the most valuable and prestigious awards in the Netherlands. Each year, only a handful are granted to individuals recognised as future leaders in the agricultural sector.
By offering this opportunity to pioneers in farming, Nuffield Netherlands aims to encourage the entire agricultural sector to advance in entrepreneurship, sustainability and innovation. Our mission is to strengthen practical agricultural knowledge and management skills. Nuffield Scholars are given the opportunity to travel, broaden their knowledge and gain valuable experience.
