"We are incredibly proud of our staff and students. Their dedication and collaboration are the core of our success. We look to the future with confidence, as HAS green academy is the leading knowledge institution where everyone with a passion for the green domain can continuously develop. We do this in connection with the professional field, and this is reflected in the figures. Together, we optimally contribute to a future with sufficient healthy food in a healthy living environment,” says Reggy van der Wielen, Chairman of the Executive Board.

At HAS, our lecturers and students work closely together throughout the entire programme. Together, we explore the challenges ahead and engage in dialogue about the diversity of perspectives in both society and our school. Through this connection and collaboration, we prepare our students for a future where they can actively and enterprisingly contribute to a better world.

Labour Market Entry

Graduates of HAS green academy are enthusiastic about their entry into the labour market. Our academy scores well above the national average on the points ‘Good foundation to further develop competencies’ and ‘Many career opportunities’. The programmes Applied Geo-Information Science and Environmental Science excel and score above the national average on all points. Although our graduates are slightly less satisfied with the alignment of their education with the professional field than the national average, we continue to strive to strengthen this connection.

Satisfaction with Education

HAS graduates are very satisfied with the education they received. Our academy scores above the national average on all points. The lecturers are particularly highly valued, with no less than 75% of graduates being (very) satisfied, compared to 69% nationally.

Although HAS students are slightly less satisfied this year with the ‘Embedding of practice-oriented research’ and the ‘Content of the programme’ compared to last year, these points still score above the national average.

This year, a new question was added to the HBO Monitor, investigating to what extent the programme provides a good foundation for dealing with societal issues. HAS green academy scores particularly high here, namely 66% compared to 44% nationally. The programmes AGIS, ML, MK, and IFA even score above 85%.

The survey was completed online by 22,358 alumni nationwide, of which 296 respondents were from HAS (47% of graduates).
