On 4 February 2025 it's that time again: the HAS Food Experience! Come get inspired and meet promising young talents who are (almost) ready to enter the job market. The theme of this year: Next food waves!

Come to the impactful and inspiring food event with innovative solutions for today's and tomorrow's challenges. Designed and developed by HAS students.

What can you expect? Liqueur made from wasted bread and fruit, food that improves the quality of your skin, beer especially for women, products made from banana peels, dry sausage you can post-dry yourself at home and many more innovative concepts.

Themes 2025

Convenience

In this category we find products and concepts that offer convenience and accessibility in the modern food environment. Convenience is about innovative solutions that simplify daily life, such as ready-made meals, snack options, and smart packaging that makes preparing and/or consuming food easier.

Health

In this category we find concepts and interventions that are in line with a healthier lifestyle, both in the field of healthy products, lifestyle, target group nutrition and interventions that have an impact on healthy eating behavior and mental aspects of health through food concepts.

Indulgence

In this category we find concepts, products and packaging that evoke a sense of luxury and indulgence. Think of refined flavours, decadent ingredients, unique dining experiences, stylish packaging with extra experience that invites people to indulge.

Production & Technology

This category includes concepts and interventions that focus on (innovative) production processes, digitalisation and automation. It also includes initiatives in the areas of water and energy management, quality control and systems.

Sustainability

This category includes concepts and interventions that focus on sustainable and alternative proteins, as well as hybrid concepts that promote a flexitarian lifestyle. This category also includes initiatives that help prevent food waste and stimulate more sustainable packaging, as well as sustainable food systems and circular food chains.
