Legal and internal organisational structure

HAS University of Applied Sciences is a non-profit educational foundation (Stichting HAS Opleidingen) that has built its organisational structure around the following processes:

  • Administrative: the Board of Governors is the competent authority and is accountable to the Board of Trustees
  • Primary processes: the study programmes and HAS Knowledge Transfer and Training execute the core activities of HAS University of Applied Sciences (education, research and contract work), each in their own market segment
  • Supportive processes: the 6 staff departments (see below) carry out tasks supporting education, research and contract work

Board of Trustees and Board of Governors

The Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors are responsible for the supervision and management of HAS University of Applied Sciences. The Board of Governors is supported by the Board Secretariat. 

Both the Board of Governors and the sectors make use of the following staff services:

  • Communication & Marketing
  • General & Technical Support Services and ICT
  • Finance & Control 
  • Human Resources
  • Student Affairs/ International Office
  • Health Coach
